When you talk New West you have to mention names like Dom Kennedy, Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey, and the list goes on. What people have failed to see but are just now catching on to, is the talent that lies in cities underneath the radar. Victorville isn't big like LA or the Bay Area, but that doesn't mean it's lacking talent. Flip Major has slowly but surely been making a name for himself & the Dirt.
Skinny jeans saggin' but don't label Flip a Jerk artist. The man is versatile and can switch it up at any given time. Plus the grind is unmistakable. I've ran into him in Pomona at a show, in Vegas twice passing out promo, and not to mention he just killed it in Arizona. The left side of the map is taking notice and the rest of the country is starting to follow suit. His latest project, Halfway Average, drops 8/30.
