Denzil Porter - Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

First time hearin Denzil Porter and I'm convinced I just found a future star.

Mod Sun - Australia New Zealand

Intelligence in Hip Hop.

Mac Lethal - North Korean BBQ (Mixtape)

Words from the fastest rapper in the game (download at the bottom):

"North Korean BBQ is for old souls. People 30+ (figuratively and literally.)
The title, however, is a reminder for me and all of us, that no matter how hard life can seem. We are all very fortunate people to live where we live. In Kansas City, when we get lonely or depressed, we go gorge ourselves on delicious, molasses-based BBQ. In North Korea, they don’t get lonely or depressed. They don’t choose feelings or thoughts. North Koreans don’t eat BBQ. They eat octopus skin and fried white corn. I was looking through audio clips from old North Korean documentaries to mix in with the music, but honestly, I felt like I was being lighthearted about their situation, which is greatly serious.
I must remind you of something, though: THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL PIECE OF MUSIC. NO!
This is NOT a political statement, but an examination on the self-entitlement we feel while bathing in our own excess and drama. I’m sorry your boyfriend broke up with you, but treasure the good times you did have. Bump this mixtape as a way to help push those negative, volatile emotions out, BUT…always remember that below the surface, life is truly a beautiful, pleasant work of art for some of us. Unfortunately it takes looking at other people’s situations to realize that sometimes."

Andre Nickatina - Tony Montana

In the words of Plank, "He's a modern day Tony Montana."

Bossman - What About You (BTS)

Welcome to the 410. Shoutout to his Michael Jackson dance at 1:00 too.  I still have my Law & Order CD handy.

Nardwuar vs. Lil Wayne

Too comedy, too comedy.

Troy Eason - Hometown

Hartford, CT is in the building.  First random track I listened to was post-worthy.

Sean Boog ft. Halo, Tyler Woods & Rapsody - Fight the Feeling

Serious question.  Why can't a song like this make it on the radio?  By the way, 9th Wonder produced the joint.  BOOM.

Mistah F.A.B. - Ain’t F***** Witchu

The Grind King doesn't slow down.  And he gave the site love when he freestyled a whole mixtape the other day. Gave us a shout out, respect!

Whitefolkz - Year of the Dogg (Free Album)

Another key part of the NU Revolution takeover.

From the pair's Graveyard Shift mixtape out now, hosted by DJ Drama.

Vado Freestyle on Toca Tuesdays

Tony Touch's one of my favorite DJ's.  Everyone kills it on his show, there's just something different about it.  "I'm so Polo I'm about to cop a horse."

Smoov-E - Mr. Biscuits

No that's not a still image, you HAVE to watch this.  I ended up watching twice for some reason.  It gets kind of creepy (lol) but still tight.

The 4.0 spitter is beyond talented.

Curren$y - #JetsGo

The man doesn't sleep...

Sound Fx - Still Dreaming (Album)

Personal favorite project of the day:

Presented by imflashy.com, here's the first official project from some of my favorite young artists coming up in the rap game.  The duo out of Riverside has everything you can ask from a young group, speaking only realness and truth.  VERY refreshing from the club-sound a lot of young artists are going for.

Animal Farm ft. Talib Kweli - Test of Time

Animal Farm, a group out of Portland, has performed w/ countless big names in rap whenever they come to the Northwest to perform.  Check this list:
Common, Method Man, Redman,GZA, RZA, Ghostface Killah, Wiz Khalifa, N.E.R.D., KRS-One, The Cool Kids, De La Soul, The Game, Del, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, and more.  That's good enough for me.

You can grab this one on iTunes too.

Panama - Dear God

His next project, The 507, Flow drops on the 4th of May.  This one's produced by Austin Millz

*Throwback* Left Eye - The Block Party

No other artist is more worthy of today's Throwback post than Left Eye.  Today 9 years ago she was killed in a car accident and we lost a great artist & person.  She lead the way for a lot of good Hip Hop.

Kidz In The Hall - Sip & Ride

"Rather die for the truth than live a lie."

Charles Hamilton - NHF (Mixtape)

Although in the hospital, CH managed to still get this tape released.  He'll be out this summer and hopefully able to get back on track.  I don't believe his music has suffered at all though.  Just more "unique."

Life Files Ep.1

Life with Curren$y, Trademark, and Young Roddy on tour.

Big Bone - Walk Wit A Swagger

Live from Pensacola, Big Bone is back.  I get money though...

The Rangers - Ranger Gang

Despite copying Wiz in multiple ways here, the song is still tight.

Ty'Quan Thomas - Heard Em Say

Out of Sacramento, Ty'Quan Thomas is one of the best artists under the radar I've heard in a while.  He doesn't brag about how rich he is.. because like a lot of other up & comers he isn't.  Difference is he that he won't lie about it.

"And I heard em say, nothing's ever promised tomorrow today, from the Sac back to the Bay and back down to LA, and back up to the Sac."

Lil B - Hancho

New B**** Mob leak!

Sam Champion - Remote Controller

Two Sam Champion posts in a row...don't sleep.  The dude definitely knows how to pick beats too.  Can't complain with this.

Great beat, great song, real rap.

Johnny Polygon - Where is Victor Black?

While he was in Vegas, Johnny was a part of the "48 Hour Project" and was given a random plot, genre, dialog, and character and had to finish the film in 48 hours.  The end result?  A hilarious short film.

Mighty NetWork - Solid Infrastructure (Mixtape)

You might remember Mighty NetWork from their track "Mark of the Beast" featuring EDI, as it was one of the most popular posts of that month.  The first sentence of this mixtape description is "Ignored by the mainstream, fueled by the underground."  Now proceed to download.

The Come Up Show Interview w/ Method Man

Very inspirational dude.  Here he talks with The Come Up show about what motivates him and his upcoming album, The Chrystal Meth.  He says that album will be a classic.

Just a Florida boy who keeps it real.  Shoutout to my South Florida family.

Curren$y - Double 07

I'd say this is Curren$y's new best song.  He had to match the craziness of the beat that The Alchemist created.  Biggie resembelance.  (yeah I said that)

347 *Throwback* Pastor Troy - We Ready

Hard a** crunk s***.

"The first time, I heard the beat, I was sold within the 10 sec of hearing it. It's a classic K.Salaam beat. It has soul and style; I knew it would be a banger for the Mighty. I conjured the hook and my verse driving home that night , it was like the lyrics just came out of thing air."
