Curren$y ft. Fiend - Televised

Weekend at Burnie's is a month old yet the hype remains.  Another solid project from Curren$y.

*Throwback* Blahzay Blahzay - Danger

Living in Cali now but the East Coast remains a part of me.

Andre Nickatina & The Jacka - Square Crows

This beat is perfect for two of the Bay Area's best to get at it.  If I had enough time I would list all the lines they said that had me replaying this.

Travis Barker ft. Lil Jon, Busta Rhymes, Yelawolf & Twista - Let's Go

Busta Rhymes started this off right and everyone followed suit.  Who had the best verse?  I'm a big fan of what Travis Barker's been able to do with mixing up Hip Hop with rock.  And he's getting the biggest names to help him.  Give The Drummer Some is available now.

Lady Gaga on MTV Boiling Points

Nothing to do with rap and has no business on this site.  Oh well.. Here's Lady Gaga before she became Lady Gaga.

Meek Mill - We Gon Get Dis Money

Dream Chasers drops August 11th and Meek isn't waiting till then to give us new music.

The Game - Infrared

The R.E.D Album drops August 23rd.  I'm expecting something great, but all these delays make me question it.  Hopefully the album's been perfected.

Jon Connor - Aint No Future

No question that Flint, Michigan has successfully been put on his back.

Curren$y ft. Freddie Gibbs - Scottie Pippen

Anybody who's a regular to the site knows Spitta gets his deserved face time, but I'm posting this to showcase Gibbs to people who don't know of his talent.  His wordplay is off the charts.  And don't forget the Alchemist is behind this beat and every other beat on Covert Coup.

The Niceguys - Ari Gold

Right on time for the last season of my beloved Entourage.  Can't believe Ari's wife screwed him like that.  Anyways, you can find this on The Niceguys' upcoming project, The James Kelley EP.

Wu-Tang - Drunk Tongue

Promo video for Legendary Weapons, currently gracing stores for all us true Hip Hop/Shaolin heads now.

Smoke DZA ft. Bun B & Big K.R.I.T - On The Corner

A lot of things going down on this corner.  DZA's next album drops August 30th.

Speak! - Run Lola Run

Speak! hosted a Wiz Khalifa show last year and then surprised me & the whole crowd with some quick bars before Wiz came out.  Never seen a Jewish man rap so good.

Jay Rock ft. Ab-Soul, ScHoolBoy Q & Kendrick Lamar - Say Wassup

The West Coast super-crew, Black Hippy, are a part of the independent record label Top Dawg Entertainment.  For an indie label they're really making a lot of noise in the Hip Hop game.

Bow Wow - Sh*t On My Mind

Rich since 13 and Bow Wow is still stressin'.  Without a peace of mind, he still delivered on this one though.  Greenlight 4 mixtape dropping soon.

Kendrick Lamar Violin Freestyle

With Jonathan Rivera on the violin Kendrick spits a few bars in Union Square.

Andre Nickatina - Money Shark

The Filmoe spitter, Andre Nickatina doesn't care what you think.  But if I had to guess, you'll mess with this one.

Game - Uncle Otis

Even though Game said this wasn't a diss, he takes shots at Jay-Z, Kanye, Big Sean, Drake, Amber Rose, Marc Anthony, and a few others.  I was entertained by it.  At least he's not afraid to speak his mind.

Los feat. J.Valle - I'm On One

My favorite track off Los' HIT mixtape, Worth The Wait.  J.Valle remixing the beat with the guitar.

Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, & Big Sean - Dot Dot Dot

The leaks keep coming daily from the trio so expect a mixtape in the near future.  Same ol' topics yet the music remains solid.

THURZ - Molotov Cocktail

A style/sound you don't hear too often.

*Throwback* Big L - Devils Son

Young Harm - Last Couple Dollars (EP)

Still always supporting San Diego music!  Best city in the West.  And here's one of the city's more talented up & comers.

Kanye West & Jay-Z ft. Otis Redding - Otis

First leak off Watch The Throne, which is just two weeks away.  Not many people can touch Kanye when it comes to the production aspect either.

Chip Tha Ripper ft. Like (of Pac Div) - Me Too

The instrmental is produced by Blended Babies, who work with Chip a lot.  And as always, his verses didn't let the quality of the beat go to waste.  Like, of Pac Div, did the same

Boneface - Letter to Greazy

Jadakiss' "Letter To B.I.G." is one everybody should listen to and the same goes for this remix, plus just Boneface in general.  Rarely are there two posts in a row by the same artist on Hip Hop Air Strike but I really want to express how talented I think he is.

Boneface - Everything Alright

First & only track I've heard from Boneface so far but both his flow and content in this song is forcing me to find more.  Check him out.

Lil B - Where Dem Based Boyz

He's wearing slacks and dress shoes?

Chris Brown x Kevin McCall - Real Hip Hop Sh*t #4 (prod. 9th Wonder)

Never been a Chris Brown fan until I've started listening to his rap songs more, which are actually real good.  I must admit, it's surprising.

40 Glocc ft. Snoop Dogg, E-40, Too Short, Xzibit & Siven - Welcome To Ca (Rmx)

The state's new anthem.  Break bread or fake dead.

Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y & Big Sean - O.T.T.R. (Prod. Big Jerm)

Top shelf on the top floor.

The Dark Knight Rises (Trailer)

Saw this in theaters and had to pass it on for your enjoyment.  Too bad it won't be out for a year.

Los - Worth The Wait (Mixtape)

The Crown Ain't Safe IS still on it's way, but as we wait for that, Los drops a mixtape worth listening to more than a few times.

Smoke DZA ft. Big K.R.I.T. - Gotta Get Paid

DZA schools us on Hustling 101 off The Hustlers' Catalog, bringing along the South's best young artist in Big K.R.I.T.

Brisco - Promises

The Opa Locka goon is back, letting us know his plans will not be broken.  I used to play Brisco regularaly and I need to start again.

Those Chosen - Carmageddon

While LA suffers with hours of traffic, I'm down in S.D. with open freeways cruising.  Can't complain.

Shawn Chrystopher - I'm A Star

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Lil B - Out The Hood

The only modern-day prophet.

Wale ft. J. Cole - Bad Girls Club

Two rappers who need to be collaborating more...

Baysiqly - The Flu

1/2 of the Vagabonds once again shows us his versatility and why the group is deserving of more attention. Plus it would be nice to see some more South Florida artists on.

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Lil Wayne – Sorry 4 The Wait (Mixtape)

The wait for Tha Carter 4 ends August 29th.

Jay Rock - Lifes A Gamble

Jay Rock's upcoming album, Follow Me Home, drops July 26th.  One of the best out of LA, which is saying a lot because I feel it's home to some of raps' best artists as of late.

Tuesday, July 12, 2011

Big Bone - Moment for Life

Off Boney's upcoming mixtape, No Name.  It's easy to see that he's been progressing with his lyrics, all the while still killing it with the punchlines like always.

Pill ft. Rick Ross - Pacman

The Empire remains untouched.

Monday, July 11, 2011

Kidd Upstairs - Bleed My Soul

Nice lyrics, plus I spotted an Arizona iced tea in the video so that's an automatic post.  Anyways, the beat is perfect for this type of track and lot of his lines will make you think.  Here's his latest mixtape which just dropped the other day, Cloud Chatter.

J. Cole Hard Knock TV Interview

It's good to see artists like J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar working together because those two are WAY ahead of their years.  Cole's passion is obvious just based on how excited he gets when it comes to even talking about his craft.

Pt. 2 Below

Rick Ross ft. Masspike Miles - Cigar Music

Some Boss music from '09 to get your mind right.

Sunday, July 10, 2011

Los Live Freestyle

While in Boston the other day Los awed a crowd with ease as he dropped an unbelievable freestyle after already performing his world renown "A Millie" remix.  He's the BEST freestyler out.

Meek Mill - Ya'll Dont Hear Me

Milly goes in over Loso's single off his latest DJ Drama-hosted mixtape, Dreamchaser.  Drops July 20th.

Airplane James - California Music

Perfect track for summer, especially if you reside in the Golden State.  Lucky me.

P.Dukes - Celebrations and Tribulations

First release from his upcoming mixtape dropping July 28th, Easy Money 3: Celebrations and Tribulations.  Always telling you both sides of the stories, no lies here.

Saturday, July 9, 2011

Lil Wayne - Tunechi's Back

First leak off Sorry For The Wait mixtape, which serves to hold us over till C4.  Hopefully it will be on the same level as No Ceilings.

Friday, July 8, 2011

*Throwback* Mobb Deep ft. Lil Kim - Quiet Storm (Rmx)

This.Is.That.Real.

Flip Major - "Halfway Average" Promo

If this doesn't get you excited for Halfway Average to drop your ears must be malfunctioning.  8/30/11.

Lil B – Bill Bellamy

If you don't own I'm Gay and/or have ten felonies then this is not for you.

Thursday, July 7, 2011

Jay Rock - Just Like Me

I think if he & Nipsey made a mixtape together it could be as good as Curren$y and Wiz' How Fly aka one of my favorite projects of all time.

Bread (of Language Artz) - If I Die

The Language Artz camp has a lot of young talent that has still yet to be exposed to Hip Hop heads across the map.  If you like what you hear checkout Bread's latest mixtape, War of the Mind: Prelude to the Brainstorm.  I also highly recommend taking a listen to Thr33zy McFly of the same crew.

Chiddy Bang - I Can't Stop

Saw him freestyle live in good ol' Pomona, CA and could not have been more impressed by how quick & witty his punchlines were.  He's somethin else.  Xaphoon is a great producer too.

Curren$y - This Is The Life

Another video off Weekend at Burnie's, which if you don't own, and you have all his free mixtapes, you should be ashamed!

Los - Finally Here

The beat starts off slow but once Los gets into it you can see why he chose this instrumental to rip.  It's the perfect environment for his flow, which is versatile like no other.  It's no surprise that Twista respects his wordplay too.  From one of the fastest rappers to another.

Chip Tha Ripper - Great Time

Chip tweeted earlier that he has a project on the way soon which will keep his fans at bay.  It seems like his fanbase has tripled over the past few months and I can hear way.

*Throwback* Too $hort - In The Trunk

This has one of the best intros ever if you're trying to feel good.  Then something about the track makes you bump your head.  No matter what.  Especially once the beat kicks in at 1:15.

‪Trae Tha Truth ft. Lupe Fiasco, Big Boi, Wale, Wiz Khalifa & MDMA - I'm On

To me this is what Hip Hop is all about.  No generic radio rap here but rather each of these guys dug deep and let loose some meaningful lyrics.  Flows on flows.

Pheo. - Break It Down

I still give Wriot! its well-deserved spins, which is where you can find this track from the UTB spitter.  Produced by Steve Liriks.

The Black Opera - Sleep Tight

New to The Black Opera's music but this first impression is right.  The verses flow from one to another like it's nothing, and the lyrics/punchlines are fire.  Poetry in motion.  Be on the lookout for the group's Overture project June 21st.

Saturday, July 2, 2011

Airplane James - Im Outta Here

This is my first time checking out Airplane James' music and I'm nothing but impressed.  It's easy to see his future looks bright and his head seems like it's in the right place.

Common ft. Nas - Ghetto Dreams (prod No I.D.)

With the combination of two Hip Hop greats, and one of today's best producers, this track can't go wrong.  Reminds me of the 90's.

Cappadonna - Milk The Cow

Here's the first video off the "Forbez Flashback" series that ForbezDVD has started, where they film visuals for older tracks that never made it to a music video.  This is off Cap's debut album, The Pillage.

Curren$y - Smoke Break

This video is off he & The Alchemist's project, Covert Coup, which you all should be too familiar with by now.  Court Dunn is a great director too.
