Believe me when I say this will blow your mind from the first track. I will most certainly be paying attention to H.O.P.E. after running through this project.
Along with the likes of Cudi & Chip, Machine Gun Kelly has been putting on for Cleveland as hard as anybody. Like his fellow Clevelanders, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, MGK can spit faster than most too.
Besides his obvious talent, one thing people should notice about OnCue is his drive & passion. It shows through in his lyrics. And shoutout to his last line: "Just cuz you have a microphone & a computer does not mean you're a f***** rapper."
Peep the wordplay Kidd Upstairs, founder of the Rockstar Muzik group (which X.O. is also a part of), brings to the table. Check his website for more music and four entire projects available for download. New mixtape droppin on 4/20 called TheBeverly Ill. Already a lot of skills with a ton of potential too.
Like your boy, X.O. reps San Diego and is one of the better artists out of the area I've heard. The above video is for a track called "Good Time." If you felt it, hit the download link below for his latest mixtape.
The production trio Cookin' Soul added all original production to the dope tracks Trade & Roddy have been lettin go during the past weeks. Not complaining.
Nardwuar gives comedy interviews & I immediately knew these two would create something "special." "Radiation from the computer is hurting my eyes, I love it."
Here's just a little sample of what you can find on Richmond, VA's own Michael Millions' new album. This project was produced by NameBrand & feautures some good artists, including the likes of Maffew Ragazino. I'm lookin forward to lettin this run all the way through.
I have the utmost respect for Freaky Jon P & his work ethic. I expect BIG things outta this artist. Don't sleep and make sure you hop on the bandwagon while you can. It's about to take off. Shoutout to Elle Vie and Banks Films.
Two young up & comers on one joint together. Frank Ocean is the vocalist of OFWGKTA, and Dave Raps has been featured a couple times on Air Strike, always bringin heavy lyricism.
New mixtape from Mullyman outta the home of The Wire. That's Charm City for those who don't know. Hosted by DJ Whoo Kid, I've heard a few tracks and feel this project already.
Serge is plannin on rockin the stage at SXSW this week, so check him out if you're in Austin for that. His last album, Back On My Rhymes, can be found here.
I didn't like how YG started but I think he got better as the verse went on. Still not a fan. Mac & Diggy KILLED it. And I never bump Lil Twist but I gotta give it to him, his verse was good. Also, don't forget to check out CyHi's freestye today too.
As a former South Florida resident myself, I must say Miami needs some more artists to step up and represent for the 305. This helps the cause. Their latest project, Good Neighbors, can be downloaded here.
Let's Talk About Panama drops on the 29th. Nice usage of the Ray Lewis soundclip at the start. Brownie points for that. Plus, Panama killed the rest of the track.
This student is actually nice as Hell, but I think Busta got him. I could see how people would see different though. This is a couple years old by the way. Note the dreadlocks.
Tinie Tempah is well known in England, as well as other parts of the world, and has the skills to make it on the U.S. Hip Hop scene too. He has an article in the latest XXL issue.
His album, COOL NUTZ ='s DOPE, drops May 10th. It gets bonus points for the title, first of all, and more importantly for the features from E-40, Tech N9ne, & Kurupt.
Why were there so many more battles in the 90's and early 2000's? Nice to see two guys actually clearly spittin lyrics off the top, not pre-meditated rhymes. Winner?
Rap needs this. Music needs this. Buy the album here. Best of luck to Lupe today, he's probably the most deserving of success out of anybody in the game.
This Jamaican girl is only 15 years old and that's all I know about her. The video quality is what you can expect from a 15 year old girl from Jamaica, but it's not about that. I hope she can do big things with her music.
